  •  As a small company and regardless of the risks, KPA Unicon made a considerable deal with Gazprom´s subsidiary and delivered 40 boiler plants within 11 months to various parts of Russia.

  •  KPA Unicon signed a contract directly with the Russian gas company Gazprom.
  •  The contract increased KPA’s exports to the east.
   
 1994  
  •  KPA Unicon headed to Russia as subcontractor for YIT Group's  construction company.
    The first boiler plants were commissioned in the military villages in Mulino, Novo-Smoline and Andreapol.
   
 1993  
  •  Pekka Kovanen closed the operation of Engineering Company Unicon Ky and transferred KPA Unicon's shares to his personal ownership. In addition, he purchased the minority shares of KPA Lämpö Oy and became the sole owner of KPA Unicon's share capital.

Majority of shares was transferred to Engineering Company Unicon.

  •  KPA Unicon Oy is formed by Engineering Company Unicon Ky, which was owned by Pekka Kovanen, and KPA Lämpö Oy from Teuva, Finland.
